You’ll learn fundamental steps, rhythm, partner connection, and how to move comfortably on the social floor.
No prior experience needed
You already know the basics and feel comfortable dancing socially.
This level focuses on improving your technique, musicality, and connection, while expanding your vocabulary with new movements and variations.
You are an experienced dancer with strong fundamentals.
Classes will focus on precision, musical interpretation, creativity, and deeper connection.
Expect more complex material and a faster learning pace.
To make sure everyone has the best possible experience, please choose your level carefully. If in doubt, we recommend talking with your local teachers. Once you are in the right space, you’ll learn more and enjoy it more.
🌱 Beginner
- You are new to Blues dancing or have taken only a few classes
- You are still getting comfortable with basic steps and rhythm
- You may not feel confident on the social dance floor yet
🌊 Intermediate
- You have been dancing Blues for a while and training regularly.
- You are comfortable with basic movements and social dancing
- You can stay on rhythm and lead/follow clearly
- You are ready to learn variations and improve your technique
🔥 Advanced
- You have several years of experience in Blues or other African American vernacular dances
- You are confident in your fundamentals (timing, connection, technique)
- You are comfortable adapting to different partners and music
- You are looking to refine details, musicality, and creativity
- You are comfortable with Blues vocabulary.
