đș A Festival Built from the Music Up
Every single band and their setlists youâll hear at Blues Remix Brussels was formed especially for this festival. These arenât touring acts with pre-made shows â theyâre tailor-made ensembles, crafted by hand and heart for you, for this weekend, and for this dancefloor. Their setlists are designed with dancers in mind, blending deep blues tradition with the unique vibe of our community. From the first note to the last encore, what you hear here, you wonât hear anywhere else. This is live music made to move you â body and soul.
Formed in 2023, The Blowfield Kings are a Belgian blues and roots band inspired by the great African American blues masters of the 1950s and early â60s. Johan Loisen on vocals, Bert Werbrouck on harmonica, Bart Jult on guitar, Nordine Ben-Kabbach on bass and JĂŒrgen Claes on drums will bring their love for the music of Jimmy Reed, Little Walter, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Sonny Boy Williamson, Howlinâ Wolf, Tarheel Slim and many more to the Blues Remix stage.
Imagine yourself in the park⊠dancing under the open sky, surrounded by friends, while warm acoustic blues drifts through the air. đłâïž At the heart of it all is Loesâwith her velvet voice, magnetic goddess presence and a warmth that makes every song feel deeply personal. Soulful, expressive and effortlessly powerful, she doesnât simply sing the bluesâshe invites you right inside it. For this special open-air performance, she will be accompanied by The Slowdown, a brand-new band created especially for Blues Remix:
This acoustic trio will bring the spirit of Delta, Piedmont and rural blues straight into the backyard of our afternoon venue, Le Super. đż
Donât let the name fool you: this trouble comes in fours. đ„
