Formed in 2023, The Blowfield Kings are a Belgian blues and roots band inspired by the great African American blues masters of the 1950s and early ’60s. Johan Loisen on vocals, Bert Werbrouck on harmonica, Bart Jult on guitar, Nordine Ben-Kabbach on bass and Jürgen Claes on drums will bring their love for the music of Jimmy Reed, Little Walter, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Sonny Boy Williamson, Howlin’ Wolf, Tarheel Slim and many more to the Blues Remix stage.

And for this special occasion, the wonderful Heleen Andriessen will join them on piano! 🎹✨ Expect electric blues, irresistible grooves and plenty of music to keep you moving.

Imagine yourself in the park… dancing under the open sky, surrounded by friends, while warm acoustic blues drifts through the air. 🌳☀️ At the heart of it all is Loes—with her velvet voice, magnetic goddess presence and a warmth that makes every song feel deeply personal. Soulful, expressive and effortlessly powerful, she doesn’t simply sing the blues—she invites you right inside it. For this special open-air performance, she will be accompanied by The Slowdown, a brand-new band created especially for Blues Remix:

This acoustic trio will bring the spirit of Delta, Piedmont and rural blues straight into the backyard of our afternoon venue, Le Super. 🌿

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Skip James, Robert Johnson, R.L. Burnside and John Lee Hooker, Tin & Tonic mix raw acoustic guitar, expressive harmonica, the irresistible rhythm of the washboard and warm vocal harmonies carried on the afternoon breeze.
